The purpose of this study was to describe the risk of academic fraud in terms of student goal orientation. The research was conducted at one of the state universities in Padang City. This study has a subject of 395 students. The sample was taken through one of the sampling techniques, namely proportionate stratified random sampling. Then, the data obtained was processed through Spearman Rank correlation analysis, because the research data was not normally distributed. After conducting correlation analysis, a relationship between performance orientation and academic cheating was found with a correlation coefficient of 0.106 (p 0.05), and a correlation coefficient of -0.154 (p 0.05) for the relationship between learning orientation and academic cheating. However, the relationship between each type of goal orientation and academic cheating is very low.
