Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of Tuning in to kids training in improving the emotion coaching of mothers who have early childhood children. This research is a quasi experimental research with non randomized pretest  -            posttest control group design. The subjects of this study consisted of 20 people divided into two groups. Data collection was performed using Maternal Emotional Style Quastionnare scale (7 items) developed by Lagace-Seguin and Coplan (2005). Data were analyzed using Independent sample t-test. The result show that there are a significance difference emotion coaching’s score between experiment and control group. The training has a great effect in improving the emotion coaching of the mother.The final result of this study is Tuning in to kids training effectively improve emotion coaching of the mother with early childhood.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that affects the readiness to stop smoking in early adult smokers. Factors have analyzed include knowledge, social support, perceived benefits and perceived barriers. Participants of this study were 171 early adult smokers. Non-probability sampling was used as the sampling technique. This study was conducted using quantitative method and data were analyzed by using logistic regression analysis. Results showed that perceived benefits significantly influenced readiness to quit smoking, while knowledge related to risks of smoking, social support and perceived barriers had no effect on readiness to quit smoking. These results also showed that smokers with positive perceived benefits were 1.152 times more ready to quit smoking compared to smokers with negative perceived benefits. Abstract

Religious intolerance in Minangkabau is an issue that is often discussed recently, as reported in print and online media. This research aims to explain the psychological dynamics of the emergence of intolerant behavior and the efforts that can be made to increase religious tolerance from a psychological point of view. This research is a qualitative research with literature study. The results showed that there are 3 processes that occur when a person will take an action or not, the first is affective (positive or negative feelings about a group), psychological (open-minded thought) and behavior (tolerant or intolerant behavior).Intoleransi beragama di Minangkabau merupakan isu yang sering diperbincangkan akhir-akhir ini seperti diberitakan di media cetak dan online. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dinamika psikologis munculnya perilaku intoleran dan upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan toleransi beragama dari segi psikologis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada 3 proses yang terjadi ketika seseorang akan melakukan suatu tindakan toleransi atau intoleransi, yang pertama adalah afektif (perasaan positif atau negatif tentang suatu kelompok), psikologis (pikiran terbuka) dan perilaku (perilaku toleran atau intoleran).

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan pada dewasa madya yang menunjukkan gejala empty nest syndrome. Gejala ini muncul ketika anak tidak tinggal lagi dengan orang tua atau pergi merantau. Hal ini dapat menimbulkan gejala-gejala seperti kesepian kehilangan dan kekosongan. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut perlu kemampuan atau cara dalam mengatasi dan mencegah perilaku tersebut diantaranya yaitu dengan meningkatkan kecerdasan spiritual pada dewasa madya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan antara tingkat kecerdasan spiritual dengan gejala empty nest syndrome. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis korelasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 110 dewasa madya di Lubuk Sarik Kecamatan Lengayang Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan dengan jumlah sampel 86 orang. Teknik sampling yang digunakan purposive sampling. Data dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan dua skala yaitu skala psikologi dengan menggunakan model empat pilihan jawaban. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua skala sebagai alat ukur yaitu skala kecerdasan spiritual dan gejala empty nest syndrome. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara kecerdasan spiritual dengan gejala empty nest syndrome. Data ini mengacu pada nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.227>0.05 sehingga hipotesis penelitian ditolak.

Abstract

Abstract: Sufism as psychotherapy provides treatment based on Islamic teachings that is intended for every human being who experiences mental illness. Mental illness referred to as severe mental disorder (psychosis), one of which is schizophrenia, which sufferers tend to experience relapse (recurrence). The purpose of this study is to find out how the use of Sufism as psychotherapy in dealing with relapse of people with schizophrenia and to prove empirical facts that Sufism can be used as a psychotherapy for people with schizophrenia based on previous studies. This research method uses literature review, literature searches are carried out through Google Scholar. Search results from Google Scholar found 12 journals, and 7 journals were eliminated, then 5 journals were accepted and analyzed. The results showed that Sufism as a psychotherapy could be a form of treatment for people with schizophrenia. The forms of Sufism as psychotherapy are Qur'anic healing therapy, Sufi healing therapy and spiritual neuroscience, as well as collaboration of Sufistic psychotherapy with traditional suwuk bobok Jowo, then audio therapy of the Qur'an, ablution therapy, prayer, and remembrance. Sufism as psychotherapy can make the heart (qalb) and soul calm, serene, and peaceful. So that the symptoms of schizophrenics such as anxiety, hallucinations, and delusions can be reduced. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memaparkan risiko terjadinya kecurangan akademik ditinjau dari orientasi tujuan mahasiswa. Penelitian dilakukan pada salah satu perguruan tinggi negeri di Kota Padang. Penelitian ini memiliki subjek sebanyak 395 orang mahasiswa. Sampel diperoleh melalui salah satu teknik sampling yaitu proportionate stratified random sampling. Kemudian, data yang diperoleh diolah melalui analisis korelasi Spearman Rank karena data penelitian tidak terdistribusi secara normal. Setelah melakukan analisis korelasi, ditemukan hubungan antara orientasi kinerja (performance orientation) dengan kecurangan akademik dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,106 (p 0,05), dan koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,154 (p 0,05) untuk hubungan antara orientasi pembelajaran (learning orientation) dengan kecurangan akademik. Namun, hubungan antara masing-masing tipe orientasi tujuan dengan kecurangan akademik tergolong sangat rendah.The purpose of this study was to describe the risk of academic fraud in terms of student goal orientation. The research was conducted at one of the state universities in Padang City. This study has a subject of 395 students. The sample was taken through one of the sampling techniques, namely proportionate stratified random sampling. Then, the data obtained was processed through Spearman Rank correlation analysis, because the research data was not normally distributed. After conducting correlation analysis, a relationship between performance orientation and academic cheating was found with a correlation coefficient of 0.106 (p 0.05), and a correlation coefficient of -0.154 (p 0.05) for the relationship between learning orientation and academic cheating. However, the relationship between each type of goal orientation and academic cheating is very low.
