This research aims to identify the diversity of higher plants in the environment of Al Washliyah University Labuhanbatu. Higher plants, known as Phanerogamae, include gymnosperms (Gymnospermae) and angiosperms (Angiospermae). The methods used were exploration and direct inventory of the plants present in the campus environment. The results of the research show that there are two subdivisions, namely Angiospermae and Gymnospermae. In the Angiospermae subdivision, 10 orders and 12 families were found in the Magnoliopsida class, and 4 orders and 4 families were found in the Liliopsida class. In the Gymnospermae subdivision, 2 types of plants from different classes were found. This research emphasizes the importance of identifying and classifying plants to understand the diversity and potential utilization of higher plants in the campus environment.
