<![CDATA[Abstrak - Proses bimbingan skripsi secara konvensional di perguruan tinggi, yang melibatkan pertemuan langsung antara mahasiswa dan dosen pembimbing, sering kali mengalami kendala seperti ketidaksesuaian waktu, keterbatasan komunikasi, dan hilangnya catatan fisik. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, perkembangan teknologi informasi telah membuka peluang bagi pengembangan sistem monitoring skripsi berbasis web. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem informasi monitoring bimbingan skripsi mahasiswa dengan metode prototype berbasis web, studi kasus di Program Studi Informatika Universitas Alma Ata. Metode prototype dipilih karena memungkinkan interaksi langsung dengan pengguna dalam mengembangkan sistem yang adaptif dan fleksibel terhadap kebutuhan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem monitoring ini memfasilitasi komunikasi dan koordinasi antara mahasiswa dan dosen pembimbing secara lebih efektif, memungkinkan pemantauan progres bimbingan skripsi secara real-time, serta meningkatkan efisiensi administrasi. Sistem ini juga menawarkan fitur seperti upload file dan monitoring kegiatan bimbingan, yang memudahkan proses bimbingan tanpa perlu pertemuan tatap muka. Implementasi metode prototype dalam pengembangan sistem monitoring skripsi ini diharapkan dapat mempercepat penyelesaian tugas akhir serta meningkatkan kualitas interaksi akademik antara mahasiswa dan dosen pembimbing.Kata kunci : Sistem Monitoring Bimbingan Skripsi, Website, Metode Prototype, Informatika, Universitas Alma Ata Abstract - The conventional thesis guidance process in higher education, which involves direct meetings between students and supervisors, often experiences obstacles such as time constraints, limited communication, and loss of physical notes. To overcome this problem, developments in information technology have opened up opportunities for the development of web-based thesis monitoring systems. This research aims to design and build a monitoring information system for student thesis guidance using a web-based prototype method, a case study at the Alma Ata University Informatics Study Program. The prototype method was chosen because it allows direct interaction with users in developing a system that is adaptive and flexible to needs.The research results show that this monitoring system facilitates more effective communication and coordination between students and supervisors, enables real-time monitoring of thesis guidance progress, and increases administrative efficiency. This system also offers features such as uploading files and monitoring guidance activities, which facilitates the guidance process without the need for face-to-face meetings.
