This research aims to explore the concept of TIRTA coaching model, its implementation in academic supervision, its impact on the quality of learning and the challenges that may be faced in implementing this model and also provide solutions to increase the effectiveness of TIRTA coaching model to improve the quality of learning. The research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative research method using a phenomenological approach to get a clear picture of the application of the TIRTA coaching model in improving the quality of learning in schools. This research uses primary and secondary data sources, namely the results of interviews and observations as well as documentation studies. The research was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Kampung Laut which was led by the principal who came from the first class of driving teachers and had received training and implemented the TIRTA coaching model in academic supervision at the school. The research results show that academic supervision using the TIRTA coaching model can be an innovative strategy to improve the quality of learning in schools. Academic supervision carried out through a guidance process from the coach or principal to the coachee or teacher through the TIRTA conversation flow is able to make teachers comfortable in identifying their shortcomings and potential so that they can be maximized in improving the quality of learning in the classroom. It is hoped that the results of this research can become a reference for school principals and teachers in carrying out academic supervision activities so that more teachers and school principals understand the true purpose of academic supervision, which in turn will result in more and more implementing academic supervision using the TIRTA coaching model and can feel the benefits in improving quality. learning at school. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi konsep coaching model TIRTA, implementasinya dalam supervisi akademik, dampaknya terhadap kualitas pembelajaran serta tantangan yang mungkin dihadapi dalam menerapkan model ini dan juga memberikan solusi untuk meningkatkan efektivitas coaching model TIRTA untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi untuk mendapatkan gambaran yang jelas mengenai penerapan coaching model TIRTA dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan sumber data primer dan sekunder yaitu dari hasil wawancara dan observasi serta studi dokumentasi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Kampung Laut yang dipimpin oleh kepala sekolah yang berasal dari guru penggerak angkatan I dan telah mendapatkan pelatihan dan menerapkan coaching model TIRTA dalam supervisi akademik di sekolah. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi akademik dengan coaching model TIRTA dapat menjadi strategi inovatif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah. Supervisi akademik yang dilakukan melalui proses bimbingan dari coach atau kepala sekolah terhadap coachee atau guru melalui alur percakapan TIRTA mampu membuat guru nyaman dalam mengidentifikasi kekurangan dan potensi yang dimiliki untuk dapat dimaksimalkan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di kelas. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan kepala sekolah dan guru dalam melaksanakan kegiatan supervisi akademik sehingga semakin banyak guru dan kepala sekolah yang memahami tujuan sebenarnya dari supervisi akademik yang pada akhirnya semakin banyak yang menerapkan supervisi akademik dengan coaching model TIRTA dan dapat merasakan manfaatnya dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah.
