ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan Peningkatan motivasi belajar peserta didik dalam mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu melalui metode Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada kelas VII SMP Negeri 5 Anggrek. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam 2 siklus, Pada penelitian ini guru yang bertindak sebagai penulis mencoba menerapkan metode pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Tindakan pembelajaran pada siklus I mengenai materi Kegiatan Ekonomi pada sub tema Kegiatan Ekonomi. Tindakan pembelajaran pada siklus II mengenai materi Kegiatan Ekonomi pada sub tema Peran Masyarakat dalam Rantai Ekonomi. Teknik pengumpul data hasil belajar dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik tes tertulis dan teknik pengamatan (observasi). Aspek-aspek dalam pengamatan meliputi: perilaku peserta didik waktu belajar, kegiatan diskusi peserta didik, partisipasi peserta didik dalam presentasi dan diskusi. Data hasil pengamatan divalidasi melalui triangulasi sumber, yaitu data berasal dari peserta didik, pengamat (observer) dan peneliti sendiri. Pada siklus pertama persentase ketuntasan belajar peserta didik dari Prasiklus 52 % pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 79 % dan pada siklus II menjadi 87%. Jumlah peserta didik yang tuntas belajar juga terjadi peningkatan dari prasiklus hanya ada 3 peserta didik pada siklus I sudah ada 15 peserta didik dan pada siklus II meningkat lagi menjadi 18 peserta didik walaupun belum semua peserta didik tuntas belajar. Berdasarkan kenaikan perhitungan persentase tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode Problem Based Learning (PBL) dapat meningkatkan motivasi peserta didik terhadap mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu pada materi Kegiatan Ekonomi hal tersebut di buktikan dengan kenaikan dari tiap siklus. Kata Kunci: Ekonomi, Motivasi Belajar, Problem Based Learning (PBL) ABSTRACT This research aims to describe increasing students' learning motivation in Integrated Social Sciences subjects through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method in class VII of SMP Negeri 5 Anggrek. This research was carried out in 2 cycles. In this research the teacher who acted as the writer tried to apply the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning method. Learning actions in cycle I regarding Economic Activities material in the Economic Activities sub-theme. Actions in cycle II regarding Economic Activities material in the sub-theme The Role of Society in the Economic Chain. Data collection techniques for learning outcomes in this research were collected using written test techniques and observation techniques. Aspects in observation include: student behavior while studying, student activities, student participation in presentations and discussions. Observational data is validated through source triangulation, namely data originating from students, observers and researchers themselves. In the first cycle, the percentage of students' learning completion from the Pracycle was 52%, in the first cycle it increased to 79% and in the second cycle it became 87%. The number of students who completed their studies also increased from pre-cycle, there were only 3 students, in cycle I there were 15 students and in cycle II it increased again to 18 students, although not all students had completed their studies. Based on the increase in the percentage calculation, it can be concluded that learning using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method can increase students' motivation towards Integrated Social Sciences subjects in Economic Activities material.
