ABSTRAK Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Adapun permasalahan dalam penelitian ini yaitu: “Apakah penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas IX SMPN 4 Tolitoli tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi dan test akhir. Sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan ialah statistik deskriptif dengan dilengkapi tabel frekuensi serta presentase. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas IX SMPN 4 Tolitoli. Kegiatan penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus, setiap siklus diadakan empat kali pertemuan (tiga kali pertemuan proses belajar mengajar dan satu kali pertemuan test hasil belajar) serta melalui empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, refleksi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan seluruh pembahasan serta analisis yang telah dilakukan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dapat Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar IPS Siswa Kelas IX SMPN 4 Tolitoli yang ditandai dengan peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa pada siklus I sebesar 67,5 dan siklus II meningkat menjadi 79. The problem in this research is: "Can the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model improve the social studies learning outcomes of class IX students at SMPN 4 Tolitoli for the 2022/2023 academic year. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation and final tests. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics equipped with frequency tables and percentages. This research aims to improve the social studies learning outcomes of class IX students at SMPN 4 Tolitoli. Research activities were carried out in two cycles, each cycle held four meetings (three teaching and learning process meetings and one learning outcomes test meeting) and went through four stages, namely planning, implementing actions, observing, reflecting. Based on the results of the research and all the discussions and analyzes that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning Model can improve the social studies learning outcomes of Class IX students at SMPN 4 Tolitoli, which is marked by an increase in the average score of students in the first cycle of 67.5 and the second cycle.
