Abstract

This article discusses the importance of learning Arabic to read books at school. With the subject matter of learning Arabic, learning to read books at MTs Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Tebuireng Jombang. In this study using a qualitative descriptive research method. Data collection techniques with observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study are (1) Learning Arabic using the manual "fluent in Arabic for class VII Madrasah", and the grammatical and translation learning methods also using the lecture method (2) Learning to read books using the Taisirul Kholaq book, with the sorogan system (3) The contribution of learning Arabic by reading the book is proven by the results of the students' scores. In general, the grades obtained by students in Arabic are good, so the grades in reading the book are also good. Keywords: Arabic learning, reading the holy book.
