Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh intelligence quotient (IQ) dan emotional quotient (EQ) terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Sausu. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Sausu yang berjumlah 115 orang. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 57 orang. Pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa tes IQ dan angket EQ serta menggunakan teknik dokumenter. Data yang telah terkumpul disajikan dalam bentuk persentase. Untuk menguji hipotesis menggunakan uji F dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Analisis data menggunakan SPSS 16. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai Fhitung (16,784) > Ftabel (3,17), maka H0 ditolak. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh signifikan IQ dan EQ terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Sausu. Kata Kunci: intelligence quotient, emotional quotient, prestasi belajar matematika Abstract: The aim of this study was to determine the influence of intelligence quotient and emotional quotient of the mathematics achievement of students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Sausu. The population in this study were all students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Sausu totaling number of students 115 people. The samples used in this study as many as 57. The sampling technique was cluster random sampling. Data collection techniques using a IQ test and questionnaire instrument EQ and use document techniques. The data has been collected, further processed and analyzed by using percentage, to test the hypothesis using F test with significance level of 5%. Data analysis using SPSS 16. Hypothesis testing results show that Fcount (16.784) > Ftable (3.17). This means that H0 is rejected, it was concluded that there is a signifikan influence between IQ and EQ of the mathematics achievement of students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Sausu.
