Background: The second stage of labor is known as the expulsion stage where the baby's head stretche. The physiological process of the second stage of labor is defined as a series of events that occur throughout this period with the birth of the baby normally. mothers in the delivery process is being able to choose the desired position during straining and giving birth will provide many benefits including less pain. Objective: To analyze the correlation of between pressing position and the management of the second stage of labor at TPMB Istiqamah Banjarmasin. Methods: research method uses analytic survey with a cross sectional approach. The research sample was mothers giving birth in the second stage as many as 35 people. Result: the results of the Chi-square test obtained a value of 0.005 (<0.05) which means that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, so that it can be concluded that there is a correlation of between the position of the pregnant woman and the management of the second stage of labor. The results show that the lateral pressing position is more effective for the second stage of labour.Conclusion: a correlation of between the pressing position and the management of the second stage of labor.
