The success of an organization in achieving its vision, mission and goals is largely determined by the quality of its leaders, because leaders have a strategic position in every activity in the organization. And school is one of the organizations that has a vision, mission and goals led by a principal. Thus, the principal as a policy maker is required to provide quality education for students. Therefore, this study aims to determine how the principal's leadership strategy and impact in realizing quality education to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at SMAN 4 Mataram. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. The results of this study indicate that the principal's leadership strategy in realizing quality education at SMAN 4 Mataram is carried out through a democratic leadership model supported by various school flagship programs (Child Friendly School, Zero Waste, Literacy and Numeracy). The supporting factors of the principal's leadership are facilities and infrastructure, external partnerships as well as training and development of teaching staff, while the inhibiting factors of the principal's leadership are budget limitations and lack of student participation. Based on the education report card, the principal's leadership at SMAN 4 Mataram has a positive impact in various achievements such as the improvement of literacy and numeracy skills, the safety climate of the education unit to the quality of education.
