This research was conducted to examine the level of success of using the STAD cooperative learning method in teaching mathematics in Elementary Schools. This study aims to improve the academic achievement of fifth grade students at SDN 1 Molawe in mathematics through the use of the STAD cooperative learning method. This study refers to a research method known as classroom action research. The study involved twenty students from grade V as research objects. The use of instruments was carried out through testing test results. studying and recording information Success in this study was measured by achieving an indicator that at least 80% of students who were the subjects of the study had succeeded in achieving a score of at least ≥65, which is the minimum score set by the school. this study revealed that the findings of the increase in mathematics mastery for fifth grade students at SDN 1 Olawe can be achieved by using the STAD type cooperative learning model. The level of student learning achievement increased significantly from cycle I by 70% to 95% in cycle II. In this study it can be concluded that the application of the STAD collaborative learning method can significantly improve the mathematics learning achievement of fifth grade students at SDN 1 Molawe
