Abstract

Education in Indonesia is now demanded to be even better in terms of student learning outcomes. Therefore this article was created with the aim of providing references related to learning models which in practice have been proven to improve student learning outcomes in schools. On this occasion the researcher only chose one learning model, namely Discovery Learning. Researchers conducted research using the meta-analysis method, which is an effort to summarize various research results by studying 6 data documents related to the use of Discovery Learning models published in national journals. The Discovery Learning learning model refers to students who are active and creative, because the Discovery Learning learning model expects each student to be able to master the learning material taught by educators. Because the learning model of Discovery Learning places more emphasis on students' direct experience and prioritizes the student learning process compared to the learning outcomes of these students

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA melalui penerapan model pembelajaran student facilitator and explaining. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang mengarah dengan tahapan-tahapan pelaksanaan meliputi : perencanaan, pelaksanaan, tindakan, observasi/pengamatan, evaluasi dan refleksi. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan pada kelas IV di SD Negeri 200101 Padangsidimpuan T.A 2021/2022, dan waktu penelitian dilakukan selama dua bulan. Subjek penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah murid-murid kelas IV SD Negeri 200101 Padangsidimpuan T.A 2021/2022 yang berjumlah 25 orang. Sedangkan objek penelitian ini adalah penggunaan model pembelajaran student facilitator and explaining pada mata pelajaran IPA dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Adapun variabel penelitian ini yaitu motivasi belajar dan model pembelajaran student facilitator and explaining. Hasil penelitian pada siklus I pertemuan I rata-rata klasikal 80 % dengan kriteria tinggi dan pada siklus II pertemuan II sebesar 92 % yaitu dengan kriteria sangat meningkat atau tinggi, hal ini sudah terlihat peningkatan dan sudah mencapai kriteria yang diharapkan

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of the scientific inquiry learning model on students' generic science skills. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a two group pre-test-posttest design. The research population is all students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan in the second semester of the 2016/2017 academic year. The sample in this study is taken by cluster random class, that is as many as 2 classes totaling 62 people. Class X MIA3 as an experimental class taught with the scientific inquiry learning model consisted of 30 students, class X MIA1 as a control class taught with conventional learning consisted of 32 students. This research instrument uses a generic science skill essay test consisting of 10 validated questions. The average value of students who are taught using the scientific inquiry learning model is 79.63 and for conventional learning it is 66.69. The results of the t-test obtained tcount = 5.729 and ttable = 1.669 so that tcount > ttable then Ha is accepted. The results showed that the scientific inquiry learning model had an effect on students' generic science skills

Abstract

This research was carried out based on the obstacles found by observers and teachers in the classroom. The obstacle faced is the low skill in writing short stories. Teachers can improve students' writing skills and be able to express ideas in written form by utilizing supporting media, namely using series of images as media. In this study, implementation steps were carried out using tests or evaluation results at the end of the learning meeting. This research was conducted with the aim of finding out whether there was an improvement in students' writing skills by using series of picture media for students. Class IV students at SDN 7 Praya, with a total of 22 students, were the study subjects. This research was carried out using 2 cycles. The student's standard score in phase I was 70.5 and in phase II it was 85 with the specified indicator of success being 75. The students who succeeded in achieving the score determined in phase I were 14 students and those who did not succeed were 8 people, in phase II all participants students succeed in achieving grades. From the results obtained in phase I and phase II, namely 70.5 to 85, there was an increase of 15%. So it can be said that in the teaching and learning process there has been quite a significant improvement so that this research can be concluded as successful. From the results of the implementation of the improvements made, it can be concluded that using series of picture media in Indonesian language learning is very effective in improving students' writing skills.

Abstract

In mathematics learning, students' understanding of the concept of multiplication still has not reached the expected level. Many of them find it difficult and do not like to learn multiplication, which results in low learning achievement. Improving mathematics learning outcomes for class III students at SDN 004 Sangkulirang in multiplication material using the Jarimatika method is the aim of this research. The research was conducted on 26 class III students at SDN 004 Sangkulirang, Sangkulirang District, East Kutai Regency, in the 2023/2024 academic year. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which consists of two cycles with four stages of implementation. Research data was collected through student observations and learning outcomes tests, then analyzed using descriptive techniques. The research results showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes after applying the Jarimatika method. In cycle 1, as many as 17 students or 65.38% succeeded in reaching the KKM 68 with an average score of 71. In cycle 2, the number of students who achieved the KKM increased to 24 or 92.30%, with an average score of 82.14. Based on these data, it can be concluded that the application of the Jarimatics method in learning multiplication has succeeded in improving student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects

Abstract

Teaching aids are basically tools used to illustrate concepts to students, thus facilitating their understanding of the subject matter. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of flat building props and the STAD method in facilitating mathematics learning of grade IV students at SDN 030 Tanese, Pao-Pao Village, Tutar District. The participants of this study were grade IV students (nine people) in the even semester of the 2023-2024 school year. The research was conducted at SDN 030 Tanese, Alu District, Polewali Mandar Regency, from 6 May 2020 to 18 May 2024. This type of research is known as Classroom Action Research (PTK), which requires teachers to implement various strategies to improve learning outcomes. These strategies may not be optimal, but they are designed to ensure that learning objectives are achieved. PTK aims to assist teachers in identifying effective strategies to facilitate student learning in the classroom. This study showed that students showed an improvement in their mathematics ability, as evidenced by an increase in the average score and the proportion of students who achieved a passing score. At the initial stage of the study, the students' average score was 75.7, with 77.3% of the students achieving a passing score. In the second cycle, the students' average score was 80.5, with 90.9% of the students passing. In conclusion, these findings suggest that the integration of teaching aids with the STAD method can facilitate improved mathematics learning outcomes for students at SDN 030 Tanese

Abstract

The goal to be achieved is the increase in student self-efficacy through the development of learning tools using a scientific inquiry learning model based on Malay culture. This research is categorized into types of development research. The developed device uses a 4-D model. This research was conducted in the Mining Technology Study Program at the Ketapang State Polytechnic, class 1-B, with 28 students. According to the results of expert validation, the learning tools that have been developed in this research are of good quality and meet valid criteria by the validator, so they are suitable for use as learning tools. Implementation of learning tools in the practical category (very good). More than 80% of student responses were positive towards learning. The average student self-efficacy questionnaire results showed an increase from pretest to posttest in Trial II, with the pretest score being 83.43 and the posttest score reaching 119.32, out of a maximum score of 140. Based on these results, it can be concluded that student self-efficacy improved after implementing the learning devices using the scientific inquiry model based on Malay culture, as evidenced by the increase in scores from the pre-test to the post-test in Trial II.

Abstract

This research was conducted to examine the level of success of using the STAD cooperative learning method in teaching mathematics in Elementary Schools. This study aims to improve the academic achievement of fifth grade students at SDN 1 Molawe in mathematics through the use of the STAD cooperative learning method. This study refers to a research method known as classroom action research. The study involved twenty students from grade V as research objects. The use of instruments was carried out through testing test results. studying and recording information Success in this study was measured by achieving an indicator that at least 80% of students who were the subjects of the study had succeeded in achieving a score of at least ≥65, which is the minimum score set by the school. this study revealed that the findings of the increase in mathematics mastery for fifth grade students at SDN 1 Olawe can be achieved by using the STAD type cooperative learning model. The level of student learning achievement increased significantly from cycle I by 70% to 95% in cycle II. In this study it can be concluded that the application of the STAD collaborative learning method can significantly improve the mathematics learning achievement of fifth grade students at SDN 1 Molawe

Abstract

The issue of low mathematics achievement among fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Banjar Anyar, particularly in the topic of data presentation, prompted the implementation of corrective actions through innovation in instructional strategies. The aim of this Classroom Action Research (CAR) was to optimize student learning outcomes through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach, which focused on increasing student engagement during teaching and learning activities. This method was chosen for its potential to stimulate active participation, sharpen logical thinking skills, and encourage students to face and solve problems that reflect real-life situations. Through this strategy, students were expected to develop an understanding of data presentation concepts and demonstrate improvements in both academic achievement and classroom engagement. The study involved 28 fifth-grade students from SD Negeri 1 Banjar Anyar, with data collection techniques including interviews, tests, observations, and documentation. Data validity was ensured through technique and source triangulation, and the data were analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The research was conducted over two cycles. In Cycle I, the average student score was 78.75 with a mastery level of 64.3%. After improvements in Cycle II, the average score increased to 89.64, with a mastery level reaching 96.4%. These outcomes surpassed the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM), which set an average score of 70 and a classical completeness threshold of 80%. The implementation of PBL had a positive impact on improving mathematics learning outcomes, particularly in the topic of data presentation. Keywords: learning outcomes, data presentation, PBL

Abstract

The aim to be achieved through research is to see the effect of implementing the Malay Culture-based scientific inquiry learning model on increasing student interest in learning. This study employed a quantitative approach and included 55 students in their third semester, divided into two sample groups. The experimental class (Class A) consisted of 27 students, while the control class (Class B) comprised 28 students.. This research was conducted in the context of the Hydrology course. Data was collected through tests and analyzed using IBM SPSS 23. After implementing the scientific inquiry learning model based on Malay culture and conventional learning, the average pretest score for student interest in learning in the experimental class was 59.77 and after being given treatment using the scientific inquiry learning model, The student's posttest score was 80.55. The results of the independent sample-test showed a significant value of 0.000, where the value was <0.05. Thus, it can be deduced that the use of the Malay Culture-based scientific inquiry learning model has a positive impact in increasing students' interest in learning.
