This research explores the integration of a deep learning approach as a transformative force in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in schools, focusing on both pedagogical and technological perspectives. Traditional PAI often faces challenges in relevance and effectiveness due to limitations in teaching methods and a lack of contextualized material. This study posits that deep learning, as a process for understanding complex world patterns, offers significant opportunities to overcome these challenges and revolutionize PAI. The research design employs a qualitative methodology with a library research approach. Information was gathered from relevant national and international academic sources, including books, journal articles, and scholarly publications. For data analysis, the Miles and Huberman model was utilized, encompassing data collection, data reduction, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the deep learning approach facilitates a paradigm shift in PAI, transitioning it from a mere transfer of knowledge to the formation of applicable character and spiritual intelligence. This is achieved through implementation in adaptive curriculum development, enhancing PAI teacher competencies in technology utilization, and establishing an ethical framework for AI implementation in religious education. This research is expected to contribute academically and practically to the development of PAI, making it more relevant and effective in the modern era.
