This study aims to examine the effect of Cold Water Immersion (CWI) on improving leg muscle explosive power in students participating in basketball extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri 3 Jombang. The research adopts a quantitative method with a one-group pre-test post-test design involving 24 students as the research sample. Data were collected through tests measuring leg muscle explosive power before and after the CWI treatment, conducted over 20 sessions. The results showed a significant increase in the average leg muscle explosive power after the treatment for both male and female groups. The average for males increased from 58.67 to 61.67, while for females, it rose from 40.17 to 42.92. The application of CWI proved effective in accelerating muscle recovery, reducing fatigue, and enhancing students' physical performance. This research provides practical contributions to the planning of training and recovery programs, particularly in basketball.
