This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of collaborative character-based assessment in cooperative learning for grade 2 students of SD Negeri 02 Sokosari. The background of this study is based on the tendency of traditional assessments that only emphasize cognitive aspects, so that the development of student character, especially the ability to collaborate, is less accommodated. The focus of the study is directed at how assessments that explicitly measure collaborative aspects can improve the effectiveness of cooperative learning and student understanding as a whole. This study uses a case study method with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Data were collected through participatory observation, interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of assessment documents. The research steps include designing assessment instruments, implementing cooperative learning, and evaluating the results of collaborative assessments. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of collaborative character-based assessments can increase student involvement in the learning process, strengthen cooperation skills, and provide a more complete picture of student development. The main conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of comprehensive assessments that not only measure cognitive aspects, but also character, in order to support effective cooperative learning. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas penerapan asesmen berbasis karakter kolaboratif dalam pembelajaran kooperatif pada siswa kelas 2 SD Negeri 02 Sokosari. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh kecenderungan asesmen tradisional yang hanya menitikberatkan pada aspek kognitif, sehingga perkembangan karakter siswa, khususnya kemampuan berkolaborasi, kurang terakomodasi. Fokus penelitian diarahkan pada bagaimana asesmen yang secara eksplisit mengukur aspek kolaborasi dapat meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran kooperatif dan pemahaman siswa secara menyeluruh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara dengan guru dan siswa, serta analisis dokumen asesmen. Langkah-langkah penelitian meliputi perancangan instrumen asesmen, pelaksanaan pembelajaran kooperatif, serta evaluasi hasil asesmen berbasis kolaborasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan asesmen berbasis karakter kolaboratif mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran, memperkuat kemampuan kerja sama, dan memberikan gambaran yang lebih utuh mengenai perkembangan siswa. Simpulan utama penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya asesmen komprehensif yang tidak hanya mengukur aspek kognitif, tetapi juga karakter, guna mendukung pembelajaran kooperatif yang efektif.
