Permainan Tradisonal sebagai Upaya dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Logika Matematika Anak Usia Dini

Abstract

Kemampuan logika  matematika anak usia dini berhubungan erat dengan perkembangan kognitif pada anak usia dini. Salah satu kemampuan logika matematika anak yaitu mengenal lambang bilangan 1-10 dan berhitung awal. Tetapi sebagian besar anak kelompok B di paud Melati masih rendah dalam kemampuan logika matematikanya dan Salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah media pembelajaran yang kurang menarik sehingga membuat anak kurang bersemangat dan termotivasi dalam belajar.  Untuk memotivasi anak diperlukan metode yang menarik salah satunya adalah permainan tradisional. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan logika matematika setelah di stimulus melalui permainan tradisional. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian 15 anak usia 5-6 tahun dengan 3 guru. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data secara kualitatif melalui pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil observasi dari ketiga permainan menunjukkan bahwa permainan tradisional dapat meningkatkan kemampuan logika matematika anak. Dari 15 anak yang diteliti pada permainan engklek untuk mengenal lambang bilangan 3 anak sudah menunjukkan kategori berkembang sangat baik (BSB) 9 anak menunjukkan kategori berkembang sesuai harapan (BSH) dan 2 anak menunjukkan kategori mulai berkembang (MB). Melihat hasil tersebut menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan logika matematika anak yang dilakukan oleh guru melalui permainan tradisional. The mathematical logic ability of early childhood is closely related to cognitive development in early childhood. One of the mathematical logic abilities of children is recognizing the symbols of numbers 1-10 and early counting. However, most children in group B at Melati Preschool are still low in their mathematical logic ability, and one of the causal factors is the learning media that is less interesting so children are less enthusiastic and motivated to learn. To motivate children, an interesting method is needed, one of which is traditional games. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in mathematical logic ability after being stimulated through traditional games. The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative. The subjects of the study were 15 children aged 5-6 years with 3 teachers. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. Qualitative data analysis techniques through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of observations from the three games showed that traditional games can improve children's mathematical logic abilities. Of the 15 children studied in the hopscotch game to recognize number symbols, three children showed a very good development category, nine children showed a category of developing according to expectations, and two children showed a category of starting to develop. Seeing these results shows an increase in children's mathematical logic abilities carried out by teachers through traditional games.
