<![CDATA[Early marriage remains a serious issue in rural areas of Indonesia, including Balam Jaya Village, Way Kenanga Subdistrict, Tulang Bawang Barat District, Lampung Province. Despite regulations setting a minimum age for marriage, the practice of early marriage remains high due to strong cultural influences, economic pressures, and limited access to education and religious understanding. This study aims to identify the factors contributing to early marriage and its impacts on individuals and society. The method used is qualitative, employing a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, which involves active community participation through semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that early marriage in Balam Jaya Village is influenced by the tradition of arranged marriages, poverty, low levels of education among women, and social pressure from the surrounding environment. The impacts include physical and mental health problems, interrupted education, and the formation of a cycle of intergenerational poverty.
