Abstract

Kata Kunci : Udang Vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei), Kualitas Air This study aims to evaluate water quality in whiteleg shrimp (Litovenaus vannamei) cultivation ponds in Mootilango Village, Duhiadaa District, Pohuwato Regency. The parameters observed included temperature, depth, clarity, bottom water level, pH, dissolved oxygen, salinity, and nitrate. Measurements showed that the water temperature ranged from 27.07 to 27.8°C, depth 65.5 to 107 cm, clarity 22.5 to 24.25 cm, sandy loam soil type, pH 7.2 to 7.4, dissolved oxygen 5.6 to 5.9, salinity 10.25 to 13 ppt, and nitrate 0.58 to 1.15. These parameters are based on SNI 037:2020 and SNI 8037:2021. With a total score of 49 at station 1, 51 at stations 2 and 3, 49 at station 4, and 46 at station 5, water quality and soil type are still in the suitable category (S2) for cultivation activities. Suggested improvement efforts for further research include adding analysis of soil organic matter content and plankton community structure to obtain a more comprehensive picture of the pond's carrying capacity for whiteleg shrimp productivity. Keywords: Whiteleg Shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei), Water Quality
