This research is motivated by four problem formulations, namely: (1) how is the implementation of extracurricular activities of pencak silat at SMA Muhammadiyah-10 Rantauprapat; (2) how is the application of a personal approach in these activities; (3) to what extent does it contribute to increasing student intelligence; and (4) what are the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. Based on these formulations, the objectives of this study are: (1) to describe the implementation of pencak silat activities in schools; (2) to analyze the application of a personal approach in the training process; (3) to identify the influence of activities on student intelligence as a whole; and (4) to evaluate the factors that influence the success of the activities. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity is obtained through triangulation of sources and methods, while research instruments include observation guides, interview guidelines, and school documents. Data analysis is carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that: (1) Pencak silat activities run routinely and effectively with the support of schools and professional trainers; (2) a personal approach is applied through individual guidance and emotional relationships between trainers and students; (3) these activities improve students' intelligence kinesthetically, interpersonally, and intrapersonally; and (4) the main supporting factors are the commitment of trainers and school support, while the main constraint is limited facilities. The conclusion of this study states that (1) Pencak silat activities at SMA Muhammadiyah-10 Rantauprapat run effectively in shaping students' personalities and intelligence; (2) a personal approach increases students' motivation, self-confidence, and active participation; (3) Pencak silat significantly supports the achievement of holistic education goals through strengthening religious and social values; and (4) these activities can be used as a strategic model for developing character education and student intelligence in Islamic-based schools. Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh empat rumusan masalah, yaitu: (1) bagaimana pelaksanaan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pencak silat di SMA Muhammadiyah-10 Rantauprapat; (2) bagaimana penerapan pendekatan personal dalam kegiatan tersebut; (3) sejauh mana kontribusinya terhadap peningkatan kecerdasan siswa; dan (4) apa saja faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam pelaksanaannya. Berdasarkan rumusan tersebut, tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan kegiatan pencak silat di sekolah; (2) untuk menganalisis penerapan pendekatan personal dalam proses pelatihan; (3) untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh kegiatan terhadap kecerdasan siswa secara menyeluruh; dan (4) untuk mengevaluasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi keberhasilan kegiatan. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Validitas data diperoleh melalui triangulasi sumber dan metode, sedangkan instrumen penelitian meliputi panduan observasi, pedoman wawancara, dan dokumen sekolah. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kegiatan pencak silat berjalan rutin dan efektif dengan dukungan sekolah dan pelatih profesional; (2) pendekatan personal diterapkan melalui bimbingan individual dan relasi emosional antara pelatih dan siswa; (3) kegiatan ini meningkatkan kecerdasan siswa secara kinestetik, interpersonal, dan intrapersonal; serta (4) faktor pendukung utama adalah komitmen pelatih dan dukungan sekolah, sementara kendala utamanya adalah keterbatasan fasilitas. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa (1) Kegiatan pencak silat di SMA Muhammadiyah-10 Rantauprapat berjalan efektif dalam membentuk keperibadian dan kecerdasan siswa; (2) pendekatan personal meningkatkan motivasi, kepercayaan diri, dan partisipasi aktif siswa; (3) pencak silat secara nyata mendukung pencapaian tujuan pendidikan holistik melalui penguatan nilai-nilai agama dan sosial; dan (4) kegiatan ini dapat dijadikan model strategis pengembangan pendidikan karakter dan kecerdasan siswa di sekolah berbasis Islam.
