Thesis by Vebriana Loinenak, NIM. 2101140176 Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program in 2025, entitled "Use of Serial Picture Media to Improve Beginning Reading Skills of Grade III SD Inpres Perumnas 1 Kupang City". This study aims to improve the beginning reading skills of grade III students of SD Inpres Perumnas 1 Kupang City through the use of serial picture media. The background of this study is the low beginning reading skills of students, which are characterized by difficulties in recognizing letters, understanding syllables, and reading simple sentences. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles, each consisting of the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of the study were 27 grade III students with details of 12 male students and 15 female students. Data collection techniques used observation, tests, and documentation. This study shows that there is an increase in results from cycle I to cycle II with an average value of cycle I (72.9%) increasing to (83.9%) in cycle II. Of the 27 students, 16 students (59.2%) while 11 students (41%) did not complete. Furthermore, in cycle II of the 27 students, 23 students (83.9%) were declared complete while 4 students (16.1%) did not complete. Based on the results of the study above, it can be concluded that the Use of Serial Picture Media to Improve Beginning Reading Skills in Class III of SD Inpres Perumnas 1 Kupang City.
