Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of clinical supervision conducted by the principal to improve the performance of Al-Qur’an Hadith subject teachers. A qualitative descriptive approach was used with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included the principal, vice principal for academic affairs, and two Al-Qur’an Hadith teachers. The findings indicate that clinical supervision was implemented in three main stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. Planning was conducted systematically based on teacher needs; implementation involved classroom observation and reflective feedback; and evaluation revealed improvements in the teachers' competencies in planning, executing, and assessing learning. The study confirms that structured and collaborative clinical supervision significantly contributes to the improvement of Al-Qur’an Hadith teacher performance.This study contributes to the discourse on school-based instructional supervision, particularly within Islamic education settings. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas supervisi klinis yang dilakukan oleh kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru mata pelajaran Al-Qur’an Hadits. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian mencakup kepala madrasah, wakil kepala bidang akademik, dan dua orang guru Al-Qur’an Hadits. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi klinis dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahap utama, yakni perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Perencanaan dilakukan secara sistematis berdasarkan kebutuhan guru; pelaksanaan berbasis observasi kelas dan umpan balik reflektif; serta evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam merancang, melaksanakan, dan menilai pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa supervisi klinis yang terstruktur dan kolaboratif berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kinerja guru Al-Qur’an Hadits di madrasah. Temuan ini relevan dijadikan sebagai model pembinaan guru berbasis kebutuhan individual, khususnya untuk mata pelajaran keagamaan di madrasah tsanawiyah, yang selama ini belum banyak dikaji dalam konteks supervisi klinis.
