ABSTRACT Innovation in ornamental fish cultivation plays a vital role in improving productivity and the economic value of aquaculture commodities, including the cultivation of comet fish (Carassius auratus). This study aims to analyze the input, process, output, and challenges encountered in comet fish farming. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using in-depth interviews and literature review. The results indicate that key factors influencing cultivation success include broodstock quality, feed management, and water quality control. Quality control strategies are applied to maintain fish health and minimize mortality rates. Additionally, this study applies Statistical Process Control (SPC) to analyze and manage variability during the cultivation process. SPC is used to monitor parameters such as temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and fish growth to ensure production consistency. The implementation of this cultivation innovation is expected to improve production efficiency, enhance the quality of comet fish, and support the sustainability of small and medium-scale aquaculture enterprises.
