Kurikulum Merdeka seeks to reform the Indonesian education system by emphasizing flexibility, differentiation, and strengthening student competencies. Implementing this curriculum in primary education requires more significant, student-centered learning strategies. Deep learning, a learning approach that encourages creativity, critical thinking, conceptual understanding, and in-depth problem-solving skills, is one relevant approach. This article discusses how the independent curriculum can be combined with deep learning principles as a way to reimagine education in primary schools. This research, through literature analysis and conceptual review, found that contextual, project-based, and collaborative learning activities can help implement the Independent Curriculum. Teachers also play a crucial role in creating a learning environment that encourages students to explore, think, and learn independently. It is hoped that the integration of these two methods will improve the quality of education and develop a consistent Pancasila-based student profile
