Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to map the distribution of agricultural products, identify patterns in their distribution, analyze factors influencing agricultural production, and assess the accessibility and infrastructure for the distribution of farm products in Porsea District. The method is descriptive, quantitative, and spatially analyzed using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Data were obtained through field surveys, farmer interviews, GPS coordinate recording, and secondary data from BPS and the Toba Regency Agriculture Office. The results show that the distribution of agricultural commodities is uneven and forms a specific spatial pattern. Vegetables are spread across 53 ha, with a production of 417.10 tons; ginger is produced in three villages, with a total of 165 tons; corn and cassava are concentrated in Amborgang Village. Rice is a superior commodity in all villages, with a production of 10,104.68 tons from 1,562.5 ha. Production is influenced by land, capital, climate, technology, and the quality of human resources. Accessibility and road infrastructure determine the efficiency of distribution, with Porsea Market serving as the primary distribution center.
