Abstract

Drama “HAH” karya Putu Wijaya dikenal sebagai salah satu karya teater modern Indonesia yang sarat dengan kritik sosial melalui pendekatan absurd. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap representasi perundungan dalam naskah drama tersebut dengan menggunakan teori segitiga kekerasan yang digagas oleh Johan Galtung. Melalui pendekatan sosiologi sastra dan metode kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui pembacaan mendalam terhadap naskah dan dianalisis berdasarkan tiga bentuk kekerasan: langsung, struktural, dan kultural. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dari 20 data yang teridentifikasi, kekerasan langsung muncul sebanyak 8 kali. Sementara kekerasan struktural dan kultural masing-masing ditemukan sebanyak 6 data. Temuan ini memperlihatkan bahwa di balik gaya tuturan yang tampak kacau dan tidak masuk akal, drama “HAH” sesungguhnya merekam secara tajam realitas masyarakat marginal yang hidup dalam tekanan sistem dan budaya. Karya ini tidak hanya menggambarkan kekerasan fisik, tetapi juga kekerasan yang mengakar dalam struktur sosial dan nilai-nilai yang dilembagakan. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa “HAH” dapat dibaca sebagai kritik terhadap kondisi masyarakat yang timpang, sekaligus membuka ruang refleksi bagi dunia pendidikan. Naskah ini berpotensi dijadikan bahan ajar sastra yang tidak hanya mengasah kemampuan apresiasi, tetapi juga menumbuhkan kesadaran kritis siswa terhadap persoalan kemanusiaan seperti perundungan dan ketidakadilan sosial. Representation of Bullying in the Drama Script "HAH" by Putu WijayaThe drama "HAH" by Putu Wijaya is known as one of Indonesia's modern theatrical works full of social criticism through an absurdist approach. This study aims to reveal the representation of bullying in the play script using Johan Galtung's triangle of violence theory. Using a sociology of literature approach and descriptive qualitative methods, data were collected through an in-depth reading of the script and analyzed based on three forms of violence: direct, structural, and cultural. The analysis results show that of the 20 identified data, direct violence appears 8 times. Meanwhile, structural and cultural violence were each found 6 times. These findings show that behind the seemingly chaotic and unreasonable narrative style, the drama "HAH" actually captures the sharp reality of marginalized communities living under systemic and cultural pressures. This work not only depicts physical violence, but also violence rooted in social structures and institutionalized values. Thus, this study confirms that "HAH" can be read as a critique of unequal social conditions, while also opening up a space for reflection in the world of education. This manuscript has the potential to be used as a literary teaching material that not only hones appreciation skills, but also fosters students' critical awareness of humanitarian issues such as bullying and social injustice.
