The purpose of this study to determine the problems of Islamic Religious Education epistemological perspective. This study uses Library Research Methods, by collecting information, references and data through scientific papers such as journals or books with descriptive analysis. The problem of Islamic Religious Education can be seen from the scope of education itself which is divided into three, namely School, Home and Environment. Here are some problems of Islamic Religious Education: First, from the side of Education or teachers, second, from the side of learners. Apart from the education or teacher side are as follows: (a) Understanding in understanding systems and methods, (b) understanding in understanding developments, science and technology, (c) lack of creative, critical and critical understanding. While in terms of learners is more moral progress and less provide character education that should decline or moral. Education and learners both have a very large share in facing and solving the problem of Islamic Religious Education.
