<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the use of morphological forms in the Social Arithmetic material in the SMP Merdeka Curriculum mathematics textbooks and their implications for students' understanding of mathematical meanings. The problem addressed is how morphological structures, such as affixation, compounding, and conversion, are used in social arithmetic texts and how they affect the understanding of mathematical concepts. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a structural linguistic approach. Data were collected through documentation techniques and morphological analysis of the texts in the mathematics textbooks. The data were analyzed using content analysis combined with a structural linguistic approach. The results indicate that the use of morphology in social arithmetic texts significantly influences students' understanding of mathematical concepts. Morphological forms such as affixation and compounding help students better comprehend complex mathematical terms. The implications of these findings emphasize the importance of strengthening language literacy in mathematics education to support students' understanding of word problems in mathematics. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan bentuk-bentuk morfologis dalam materi Aritmetika Sosial pada buku pelajaran matematika SMP Kurikulum Merdeka, serta implikasinya terhadap pemahaman makna matematis oleh siswa. Permasalahan yang diangkat adalah bagaimana struktur morfologi, seperti afiksasi, pemajemukan, dan konversi, digunakan dalam teks aritmetika sosial dan bagaimana hal tersebut mempengaruhi pemahaman konsep matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan linguistik struktural. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik dokumentasi dan analisis morfologi terhadap teks-teks dalam buku ajar matematika. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis isi (content analysis) yang dikombinasikan dengan pendekatan linguistik struktural. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan morfologi dalam teks aritmetika sosial sangat mempengaruhi pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep-konsep matematis. Bentuk morfologis seperti afiksasi dan pemajemukan membantu siswa memahami istilah matematis yang kompleks dengan lebih mudah. Implikasi dari temuan ini adalah pentingnya penguatan literasi bahasa dalam pembelajaran matematika untuk mendukung pemahaman siswa terhadap soal-soal cerita matematika.]]>
