The rapid development of digital technology has shifted learning paradigms from text based approaches to visual-oriented instruction, in line with the growing visual literacy among students. This transformation requires educators to strategically integrate digital visual media to maintain and enhance students’ learning motivation. This study aims to analyze the implementation of digital visual media in improving students’ learning motivation in the era of visual literacy through a literature review approach. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method using library research. Data were collected from reputable open access academic articles published within the last ten years and analyzed through narrative content analysis by identifying and synthesizing key themes. The findings indicate that digital visual media such as instructional videos, infographics, and interactive animations significantly enhance students’ attention, interest, and engagement in learning activities. The integration of visual media aligned with multimedia learning principles and visual literacy effectively reduces cognitive load and strengthens students’ intrinsic motivation. It can be concluded that digital visual media are a crucial component of contemporary education and should be pedagogically integrated to create adaptive and meaningful learning environments.
