ABSTRAK Keluarga berperan sebagai pengasuh utama dalam rehabilitasi pasien stroke berbasis rumah, namun peran ini kerap dihadapkan pada stres psikologis, kelelahan emosional, dan keterbatasan kemampuan koping yang dapat memengaruhi kualitas perawatan. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan memberdayakan keluarga pasien stroke melalui pelatihan relaksasi terintegrasi berbasis mindfulness untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, kemampuan regulasi stres, serta kesiapan caregiver dalam menjalankan perannya.Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan edukatif dan partisipatif yang melibatkan tenaga interprofesional serta mengacu pada kerangka POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, dan Controlling). Sebanyak 15 caregiver mengikuti edukasi terstruktur, diskusi kelompok kecil, dan demonstrasi teknik relaksasi yang meliputi pernapasan mindfulness, pernapasan dalam, serta relaksasi otot progresif. Proses pembelajaran didukung media leaflet dan audiovisual untuk menunjang praktik mandiri di rumah.Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test yang dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebelum intervensi sebagian besar peserta berada pada kategori pengetahuan rendah dengan rerata skor 38,0. Setelah pelatihan, hampir seluruh peserta mencapai kategori pengetahuan baik dengan rerata skor 100. Analisis statistik menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan (Z = −3,296; p = 0,001). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan relaksasi berbasis mindfulness efektif mendukung peran keluarga dalam rehabilitasi pasien stroke berbasis komunitas. ABSTRACT Family members play a central role as primary caregivers in home-based stroke rehabilitation, yet this responsibility is frequently associated with psychological stress, emotional exhaustion, and limited coping skills that may compromise care quality. This community service program aimed to empower families of stroke patients through integrated mindfulness-based relaxation training to improve caregivers’ knowledge, stress regulation abilities, and readiness to provide care.The program applied an educational and participatory approach with interprofessional collaboration and was guided by the POAC framework (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling). Fifteen caregivers participated in structured educational sessions, small-group discussions, and demonstrations of relaxation techniques, including mindfulness breathing, deep breathing, and progressive muscle relaxation. Educational materials were supported by leaflet and audiovisual media to encourage independent home practice. Program effectiveness was assessed using pre-test and post-test evaluations and analyzed with the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test. Results showed a significant improvement in caregivers’ knowledge, with mean scores increasing from 38.0 before the intervention to 100 after training (Z = −3.296; p = 0.001). These findings indicate that mindfulness-based relaxation training is a feasible and effective strategy to reduce caregiver stress and enhance family capacity in community-based stroke rehabilitation.
