The main problem in this study is whether animation-based YouTube social media is effective for fifth grade students of SDN 193 Mandalan. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using animation-based YouTube social media on learning outcomes in Indonesian language material for fifth grade students of SDN 193 Mandalan. This type of research is experimental research (pre-experimental design) with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample and population are 12 fifth grade students of SDN 193 Mandalan. The data collection techniques used are learning outcome tests (pretest-posttest), student activity sheets, and student response questionnaires. The results of the study showed that the data were analyzed using descriptive analysis data and inferential analysis. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques, it was found that the average pretest value was 55.42 while the average posttest value was 83.75. The average posttest value was higher than the average pretest value. The average percentage of student activity in using animation-based YouTube social media is 95.125% indicating a positive response in the very good category and 12.45% giving a negative response in the sufficient category. And the average percentage value of student questionnaire responses to the use of animation-based YouTube social media is 94.165% so it is categorized as good (positive). Based on the inferential statistical analysis, the t count is 32,894 with a frequency of df = 12-1 = 11, at a significant level = 0.05 and the t table is 2,201. So t count> t table or H0 is rejected H1 is accepted. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that animation-based YouTube social media on the learning outcomes of Indonesian language material for class V SDN 193 Mandalan procedural texts is effective for learning outcomes of Indonesian language material for class V SDN 193 Mandalan students.
