<![CDATA[ABSTRACT Verbal aggressive behavior is an act of hurting others through words such as shouting, speaking harshly, using offensive language, or insulting, which can damage a person's mental and psychological condition. This behavior can be influenced by various factors, including biological factors related to genetic influences on emotions and behavior, as well as family factors such as harsh parenting patterns that increase the tendency of children to behave aggressively. These conditions may trigger the emergence of deviant behavior, including verbal aggression among students. This study aims to determine the effect of the self management technique on verbal aggressive behavior among students of class VIII 6 at SMPN 4 Mataram in the 2022/2023 academic year. This research employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method. The population of the study consisted of 32 students, while the sample included 10 students selected as research subjects. Data collection techniques used questionnaires as the main method, while observation, documentation, and interviews were used as supporting methods. Data analysis was conducted using the t test to determine the difference before and after the treatment. The results of the study showed that the t value was 7.491, which was higher than the t table value of 2.262 at the 5 percent significance level, indicating that the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the self management technique has a significant effect on reducing verbal aggressive behavior among students of class VIII 6 at SMPN 4 Mataram in the 2022/2023 academic year. ABSTRAK Perilaku agresivitas verbal merupakan tindakan menyakiti orang lain melalui kata-kata seperti membentak, berkata kasar, berkata kotor, atau menghina yang dapat merusak kondisi mental dan psikis seseorang. Perilaku ini dapat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, antara lain faktor biologis yang berkaitan dengan pengaruh genetik terhadap emosi dan perilaku, serta faktor keluarga seperti pola asuh orang tua yang cenderung keras sehingga meningkatkan kecenderungan anak berperilaku agresif. Kondisi tersebut dapat memicu munculnya perilaku menyimpang, termasuk agresivitas verbal pada siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh teknik self management terhadap perilaku agresivitas verbal pada siswa kelas VIII 6 di SMPN 4 Mataram Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 32 siswa, sedangkan sampel penelitian sebanyak 10 siswa yang dipilih sebagai subjek penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket sebagai metode pokok, sedangkan observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara digunakan sebagai metode pelengkap. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji t-test untuk mengetahui perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai t-hitung sebesar 7,491 lebih besar dari t-tabel sebesar 2,262 pada taraf signifikansi 5 persen, sehingga hipotesis nihil ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa teknik self management berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penurunan perilaku agresivitas verbal pada siswa kelas VIII 6 SMPN 4 Mataram Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023.]]>
