The most popular source of information today is online daily news, which can be easily accessed via the internet. In its presentation, the language structure of daily news texts is particularly interesting to study in terms of patterns, functions, categories, and roles within the sentences used in daily news texts. The data source consists of a documentation of 100 online daily news articles about football, published by the Detikcom team through the internet in the January 2025 edition. This research employs a qualitative method, with data collection conducted through documentation techniques involving various headlines of Detikcom daily news texts. The findings indicate that the majority of football news headlines on the Detikcom website predominantly use the S-P-O (Subject-Predicate-Object) sentence pattern. Additionally, there are sentences that follow the S-P-O-K (Subject-Predicate-Object-Adverb) pattern. Some sentences also use the S-P (Subject-Predicate) pattern, while others follow the S-P-O-Pel (Subject-Predicate-Object-Complement) pattern. The least frequently used sentence pattern is the simple sentence with the S-P-K (Subject-Predicate-Adverb) structure.Furthermore, this research can be beneficial for news text learning, particularly in enhancing students' writing skills by exploring variations of sentence patterns to be used when composing news texts.
