The research was motivated by students' lack of ability in learning to listen to news. Students rarely learn using audiovisual media. Previous learning was conducted monotonously, making students bored. Teachers used the lecture method, making listening less effective and efficient if the news was delivered by reading it aloud. This research employed a quantitative method. A normality test was used to determine whether the collected data were normally distributed. In this study, the normality test was conducted using the SPSS computer program with the Chi-Square formula. The criteria used were that the collected data were normally distributed if the significance value was greater than 0.05. Test results in the control group increased by 21.59 points, from the initial test of 34.14 to 55.73, while in the experimental group, the score increased by 46.14 points, from 44.71 to 90.85.
