<![CDATA[Abstract Johannine scholars have differed regarding the influence of Greek philosophy and ancient religion on the concepts and ideas of the “Logos” in the Prologue of John. Some scholars argue that its concepts and ideas were influenced by various Greek philosophical and ancient religious thought systems of the time. While, other experts argue that the Prologue was not influenced at all by Greek philosophical and ancient religious thought at that time. For this reason, through library research using the “adaptable method” and “Struggle for Language” approaches, the author will examine whether the concepts and ideas of the “Logos” in the Prologue was influenced by Greek philosophy and ancient religion at that time, or originated from John's own thoughts by giving new meaning to the concepts and ideas. The results of the research show that John used the term “Logos” because the term was already known and familiar to ancient people at that time. He has borrowed this term by giving it a new meaning according to the context and concept of the Christian faith to introduce the identity of Jesus and make His work known. This was done to produce concrete situations and social contexts being experienced by the Yohanes community. Abstrak: Para pakar Yohanes telah berbeda pendapat mengenai pengaruh filsafat Yunani dan keagamaan kuno terhadap konsep dan gagasan “Logos” dalam Prolog Yohanes. Sebagian pakar berpendapat bahwa konsep dan gagasannya dipengaruhi oleh berbagai sistem pemikiran filsafat Yunani dan keagaman kuno waktu itu. Sedangkan para pakar lain berpendapat bahwa konsep dan gagasannya sama sekali tidak dipengaruhi oleh pemikiran filsafat Yunani dan keagamaan kuno waktu itu. Untuk itu, melalui penelitian perpustakaan dengan menggunakan pendekatan “Metode yang dapat beradaptasi” dan “Perjuangan untuk Bahasa, penulis akan meneliti apakah konsep dan gagasan ”Logos” dalam Prolog dipengaruhi oleh filsafat Yunani dan keagamaan kuno waktu itu, atau berasal dari pemikiran Yohanes sendiri dengan memberikan makna baru terhadap konsep dan gagasan tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Yohanes menggunakan istilah ”Logos” tersebut karena istilah ini sudah dikenal dan familier bagi masyarakat kuno waktu itu. Ia telah meminjam istilah tersebut dengan memberikan makna baru sesuai dengan konteks dan konsep iman Kristen untuk memperkenalkan identitas Yesus dan karya-Nya supaya dikenal. Hal ini dilakukan untuk menghasil situasi konkret dan konteks sosial yang sedang dialami oleh komunitas Yohanes. ]]>
