The use of social media and public participation in elections is an important phenomenon because elections are indicators of state sustainability. The research aims to determine community participation in the 2024 Election and the use of mass media in influencing the choices of the people of Sambirejo Village based on the Uses and Gratification theory. The research uses a qualitative approach, a type of exploratory descriptive research. Data acquisition techniques were obtained through observation, FGD and interviews. The research results show that the participation of the Sambirejo community in the 2024 elections is relatively high at 92%. High community participation is greatly influenced by the characteristics of the local community, namely better education and an increasingly open society. Apart from that, participation is encouraged by the participative leadership pattern of the Sambirejo Village Head and quite intensive outreach from KPPS to the community. Social media is widely used by people more for entertainment and to support business activities. By the Uses and Gratification theory, the people of Sambirejo access election information via social media according to their information needs as additional references, not to determine their choice in the election.
