Hospitalization in preschool-aged children often triggers anxiety due to limited understanding of the hospital environment, medical procedures, and separation from parents. This study aims to analyze nursing care through the implementation of medical play therapy to reduce anxiety in hospitalized children. The method used was a case study involving two preschool-aged pediatric patients with a 20-minute medical play intervention. The results showed a decrease in anxiety levels from moderate to mild based on the VFAS scale. Medical play therapy was found to be effective in improving children’s cooperativeness and reducing anxiety during hospitalization.
