This study aims to optimize the use of the Kodular application as a competency testing instrument for students of the Mathematics Education Study Program at UIN Alauddin Makassar. This application is integrated with Google Form as a question platform and is equipped with a login token feature, exam timer, and automatic detection system. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model implemented. The results showed that 97.14% of students stated the exam system was easy to use, 93.5% could understand the exam display clearly, 92.14% successfully installed the application on their respective devices, and 93.57% felt they could work on questions more focused, controlled, and minimizing cheating. The average student competency test score reached 69.14/100 with a median of 68 and a range of 64–76. Thus, Kodular is proven to be optimized as an innovative, transparent, and integrity-based competency testing medium in mathematics education at higher education institutions.
