Abstrak: Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini yang berjudul “Miskonsepsi Siswa Dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Matriks Di Kelas XI TKJ SMK Negeri 1 Sungai Tebelian” adalah rendahnya pemahaman konsep matriks pada siswa kelas XI TKJ, yang mengakibatkan kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal matriks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa pada saat menyelesaikan soal matriks di kelas XI TKJ SMK Negeri 1 Sungai Tebelian. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 1 Sungai Tebelian dan obyek penelitian adalah miskonsepsi siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matriks. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar tes dan lembar wawancara. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi/penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa miskonsepsi siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matriks yaitu siswa kurang memahami konsep dasar dan kurang teliti saat menyelesaikan soal pada setiap indikator miskonsepsinya. Jenis miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa adalah miskonsepsi teoritis, miskonsepsi klasifikasional, miskonsepsi korelasional, dan miskonsepsi operasional, hal ini disebabkan kurang memahami konsep dan kurang teliti dalam memahami soal sehingga menimbulkan miskonsepsi dalam proses perhitungan hasil akhir. Miskonsepsi yang banyak dilakukan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal tes berupa esai pada materi matriks adalah miskonsepsi klasifikasional dengan kategori tinggi yaitu kesalahan dalam mengklasifikasikan jenis-jenis matriks.   Kata Kunci: Miskonsepsi Siswa, Penyelesaian Soal, Matriks      Abstract : The problem in this study entitled "Misconception of Students in Solving Matrix Problems in Class XI TKJ SMK Negeri 1 Sungai Tebelian" is the low understanding of the concept of matrix in grade XI TKJ students, which results in errors in solving matrix problems. This study aims to find out the misconceptions experienced by students when solving matrix questions in class XI TKJ SMK Negeri 1 Sungai Tebelian. The research method uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The subjects in this study are grade XI students of SMK Negeri 1 Sungai Tebelian and the object of the research is the misconception of students in solving matrix problems. The research instrument used test sheets and interview sheets. Data collection techniques use tests, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques in the research are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and verification/drawing conclusions. The results of the study were obtained that students' misconceptions in solving matrix problems were that students did not understand basic concepts and were less thorough when solving problems on each indicator of misconception. The types of misconceptions experienced by students are theoretical misconceptions, classification misconceptions, correlational misconceptions, and operational misconceptions, this is due to a lack of understanding of concepts and lack of thoroughness in understanding the problem so as to cause misconceptions in the process of calculating the final result. The misconceptions that students often make when completing essay test questions on matrix material are classification misconceptions with a high category, namely errors in classifying.   Keywords: Student Misconception, Problem Solving, Matrix.
