<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the efforts of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in preventing bullying behavior among seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Kadatua, South Buton Regency. Bullying, which is prevalent at the junior high school level, negatively impacts students’ mental health, learning motivation, and the overall school climate. PAI teachers play a strategic role in fostering students’ religious character through verbal strategies (advice, reprimands, motivation, dialogue) and non-verbal strategies (role modeling, religious practices, and a religious school culture). This research employs a qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation involving teachers and seventh-grade students. The findings reveal that religious character development through activities such as congregational prayers, Qur’an recitation, and moral reinforcement effectively reduces bullying behavior. Supporting factors include school and parental involvement, while inhibiting factors consist of students’ lack of awareness and limited facilities. The study concludes that the internalization of Islamic values through the role of PAI teachers is effective in creating a safe, comfortable, and conducive learning environment.]]>
