Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Qishah method on improving learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) among students at SD Negeri 77 Buton. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The research sample consisted of two groups: the experimental group, which was taught using the Qishah method, and the control group, which was taught using the conventional lecture method. Data were collected through a learning motivation questionnaire, classroom observations, and teacher interviews, and analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests with the help of SPSS software. The results of the study indicate that the Qishah method significantly enhances students' learning motivation compared to the conventional method. The average learning motivation score of the experimental group increased from 65.2 to 85.7, while the control group only increased from 64.8 to 72.3. Statistical analysis showed a significance value (Sig. = 0.000), which is less than 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the two groups after the intervention. In addition to increasing motivation, the Qishah method also contributes to students' character development through the moral values embedded in the stories.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi metode diskusi dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMP Negeri 17 Bombana. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode diskusi diterapkan melalui pembelajaran kelompok kecil yang interaktif, dengan guru berperan sebagai fasilitator. Siswa menunjukkan partisipasi aktif dalam menyampaikan pendapat dan berdiskusi mengenai materi keagamaan. Namun, dalam pelaksanaannya terdapat beberapa kendala seperti keterbatasan waktu, rendahnya kesiapan siswa, serta tantangan dalam pengelolaan kelas. Guru mengatasi kendala tersebut dengan strategi seperti panduan diskusi, pengelompokan heterogen, serta pengawasan aktif selama kegiatan berlangsung. Kesimpulannya, metode diskusi efektif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pemahaman siswa dalam pembelajaran PAI, meskipun memerlukan perencanaan dan pengelolaan yang matang

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kebiasaan menghadiri pesta joget terhadap nilai pendidikan agama islam (PAI) pada siswa kelas 6 SD Negeri 1 Mata Kecamatan Kambowa, Kabupaten Buton Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas 6 yang berjumlah 20 orang, dan teknik pengambilan sampel di lakukan secara total sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket untuk mengukur frekuensi, durasi, dan intensitas keterlibatan siswa dalam pesta joget, serta dokumentasi nilai PAI siswa. Hasil analisis regresi linear menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh negatif dan signifikan antara keterlibatan dalam pesta joget terhadap nilai PAI siswa. Nilai koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,815 menunjukan bahwa 81,5% variasi nilai PAI siswa dapat dijelaskan oleh kebiasaan menghadiri pesta joget. Koefisien regresi sebesar -1,142 menandakan bahwa semakin tinggi keterlibatan siswa dalam pesta joget, maka semakin rendah nilai PAI yang diperoleh. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pesta joget memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap penurunan nilai akademik Pendidikan Agama Islam. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pengawasan yang lebih ketat dari pihak sekolah, orang tua, dan masyarakat agar siswa dapat lebih fokus dalam kegiatan belajar, khususnya dalam penguatan nilai-nilai keagamaan.

Abstract

The subject of Islamic Cultural History (Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam/SKI) holds a strategic position in madrasah education, as it not only conveys historical knowledge but also instills values, shapes character, and strengthens Islamic identity. However, SKI learning at the Madrasah Aliyah level still faces challenges, particularly in the use of conventional media that lack contextual relevance to the needs of 21st-century learners. This study aims to identify the types of instructional media that have been used in SKI teaching and evaluate their relevance to the pedagogical needs of madrasah students. The method employed is a systematic literature review (library research) with a qualitative approach using thematic analysis of scholarly sources published over the past ten years. The study identified three key media types that are both relevant and effective: audiovisual media (films), question cards, and the Canva application. These media have been found to enhance student engagement, strengthen historical understanding, and integrate Islamic values into learning in a contextual and engaging manner. This study recommends the development of SKI instructional media that is adaptive to digital literacy, value-based, and aligned with the characteristics of madrasah students, thereby promoting more transformative and meaningful learning.

Abstract

This study aims to quantitatively test the impact of using audiovisual media in learning Al-Qur'an interpretation on students' understanding. This study was motivated by the low level of students' understanding observed when the interpretation material was delivered through conventional teaching methods. Using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, this study adopted a pretest-posttest model involving an experimental group and a control group. The sample consisted of 62 students, divided into an experimental group exposed to audiovisual media and a control group taught through traditional lectures. Data collection instruments included questionnaires and comprehension tests given before and after the intervention. The results of the t-test analysis revealed a significant difference between the two groups (p < 0.05), indicating that the use of audiovisual media had a positive and significant effect on improving students' understanding of Al-Qur'an interpretation.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the reading interest of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Buton. The research method used was observation, interviews, and documentation to collect qualitative data. The research results show that the reading interest of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Buton is still relatively low. The low reading interest of students is caused by several factors, both internal and external. Internal factors include a lack of reading habits from an early age, so students are not accustomed to spending time reading. Many students only read on the teacher's orders, not out of their own awareness. In addition, low reading skills are also a constraint, where some students still have difficulty understanding the reading material, causing them to feel bored and less interested in continuing to read. Meanwhile, external factors such as the role of the family also greatly influence the students' reading interest. Some students who have reading habits generally come from families who support and get them used to reading from an early age. However, many parents believe that the school is solely responsible for building their children's reading interest, so they do not provide sufficient encouragement at home. In conclusion, it can be said that the reading interest of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Buton is still low, caused by internal and external factors. Efforts have been made by the school, but the biggest challenge is the lack of support from the family. Therefore, close collaboration between teachers and parents is highly needed to build a strong reading culture in the students.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study was conducted with the aim of designing a learning approach for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) that is not only academically effective but also capable of creating an enjoyable learning atmosphere for students at SMP Negeri 8 Buton. The innovation in this learning model was intended to encourage active student engagement, foster positive perceptions toward PAI, and optimize academic achievement. The method employed was Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was implemented in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of the stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The study involved 30 eighth-grade students as the primary subjects. The findings revealed clear and significant impacts across various indicators. In the first cycle, student participation increased sharply from 43.3% in the pre-cycle to 76.7%. Students’ perceptions of the learning process also improved positively, with 93.3% of students reporting that the learning experience became more engaging in the second cycle, up from 76.7% in the first. Academic performance followed a similar upward trend. The average student score rose from 68.2 in the pre-cycle to 82.4 by the end of the second cycle. Furthermore, over 86% of students succeeded in surpassing the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM), indicating that the developed learning approach effectively enhanced students’ understanding of PAI material.

Abstract

Pembinaan mental dan spiritual peserta didik menjadi aspek penting dalam membentuk karakter siswa yang berakhlak, tangguh, dan berkepribadian seimbang di tengah tantangan era digital. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran emosional, motivasi diri, serta nilai-nilai spiritual siswa melalui workshop peningkatan kecerdasan emosional (Emotional Quotient/EQ) dan pelatihan public speaking Islami di SMAN 1 Baubau. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada 16–17 Oktober 2025 dengan melibatkan 50 siswa aktif yang dipilih secara purposif. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi ceramah interaktif, simulasi, diskusi kelompok, dan praktik komunikasi berbasis nilai-nilai Islam. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam mengenali dan mengelola emosi, berkomunikasi positif, serta menumbuhkan niat dan keikhlasan dalam setiap aktivitas. Penguatan aspek spiritual juga tampak dari perubahan sikap siswa yang lebih disiplin, reflektif, dan berorientasi pada nilai-nilai religius.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to strengthen QRIS-based digital payment literacy among MSME (UMKM) actors in Baubau City through a fiqh al-muʿāmalāt perspective, enabling cashless transactions that are halal, transparent, and free from ribā. The program was initiated in response to the rapid expansion of QRIS usage in the retail and MSME sector, which has not been consistently matched by adequate understanding of service-related contracts (ʿaqd), ujrah (service fees), gharar prevention, and dispute-handling procedures such as complaints and refunds. A participatory implementative approach was employed, consisting of: (1) a needs assessment through field observation and guided interviews; (2) interactive education sessions combining QRIS operational concepts with key muʿāmalāt principles; (3) hands-on training and case-based simulations covering payment verification, transaction records, settlement processes, and common errors; (4) the development of a “Sharia-Compliant QRIS Transaction SOP” tailored to MSME contexts; and (5) mentoring, monitoring, and evaluation using pre post tests, observation checklists, and participant feedback. The results indicate improved participant comprehension of QRIS mechanisms and a clearer conceptual distinction between riba and permissible ujrah when fees are disclosed, agreed upon, and linked to legitimate services. Participants also demonstrated stronger practical competence in conducting transactions independently, storing transaction evidence, maintaining simple daily records, and managing frequent issues such as incorrect amounts, failed payments, and refunds in a fair and orderly manner. Key outputs included a concise module, a checklist infographic, and an operational SOP to support sustainability. Conceptually, the findings highlight the importance of value compatibility with Islamic commercial jurisprudence in accelerating digital payment adoption among MSMEs. Overall, the program contributes to enhanced consumer trust, better transaction governance, and aligns with inclusive economic empowerment and the SDGs.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has brought significant changes to the field of education, including Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This study aims to examine the effectiveness of technology implementation in Grade X PAI learning at SMA Negeri 1 Siompu, South Buton Regency, specifically in terms of material understanding, learning motivation, and student independence, as well as to analyze teacher readiness and student responses to technology-based learning. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with PAI teachers and Grade X students, and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model through data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing stages. Data validity was tested through source triangulation, method triangulation, and member checking. The findings reveal that the implementation of digital technologies such as Google Classroom, WhatsApp, and Google Meet effectively increased students' material understanding by 20-30%, significantly enhanced learning motivation, and rapidly developed student independence despite the school facing infrastructure limitations including limited electricity access and unstable internet networks. Teachers demonstrated good readiness through creativity in overcoming technical barriers with hybrid learning strategies and offline material provision. Students responded very positively with high enthusiasm and active participation in learning. This research contributes to achieving SDGs goal 4 on quality education and goal 10 on reducing inequalities by proving that technology can serve as a means of equalizing access to quality education in remote areas.
