ABSTRACT Physical fitness in older adults is an important factor in maintaining independence, mobility, and quality of life during aging. However, physical activity among older adults in rural areas tends to remain low, increasing the risk of declining physical capacity and functional health. This study aimed to analyze the effect of elderly exercise programs on the physical fitness of older adults in Tawali Village, Wera District, Bima Regency. The study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. The participants consisted of 15 older adults who regularly took part in the elderly exercise program during the research period. Physical fitness was measured using a 1-mile fast walking test conducted before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and a paired sample t-test at a significance level of 0.05. The findings indicated an improvement in physical fitness following the implementation of the elderly exercise program. Most participants experienced increased fitness scores, with an average improvement of 34.29%. Statistical analysis revealed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results, indicating that the elderly exercise program was effective in improving physical fitness among older adults. These findings suggest that community-based elderly exercise programs can serve as a safe, simple, and practical form of physical activity to help older adults maintain physical health, mobility, and quality of life in rural communities. ABSTRAK Kebugaran jasmani pada lansia menjadi salah satu faktor penting dalam mempertahankan kemandirian, mobilitas, dan kualitas hidup pada usia lanjut. Namun, aktivitas fisik lansia di lingkungan pedesaan masih cenderung rendah sehingga berisiko mempercepat penurunan kemampuan fisik dan kesehatan fungsional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh senam lansia terhadap kebugaran jasmani lansia di Desa Tawali, Kecamatan Wera, Kabupaten Bima. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 15 lansia yang mengikuti program senam lansia secara teratur selama periode penelitian. Pengukuran kebugaran jasmani dilakukan menggunakan tes jalan cepat 1 mil sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan uji paired sample t-test pada taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kebugaran jasmani setelah pelaksanaan program senam lansia. Sebagian besar peserta mengalami peningkatan skor kebugaran dengan rata-rata peningkatan sebesar 34,29%. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara hasil pre-test dan post-test sehingga program senam lansia dinilai efektif dalam meningkatkan kebugaran jasmani lansia. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa senam lansia berbasis komunitas dapat menjadi alternatif aktivitas fisik yang aman, sederhana, dan mudah diterapkan untuk membantu lansia mempertahankan kesehatan fisik, mobilitas, dan kualitas hidup di lingkungan masyarakat pedesaan.
