This study aims to determine the effect of the RADEC learning model on the ability to write explanatory texts of fifth-grade students at SD Inpres 6/75 Pancaitana, Bone Regency. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method and a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 13 students selected using total sampling technique. The instrument used was a writing test of explanatory text administered before (pretest) and after treatment (posttest). Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (Wilcoxon test). The results showed that the average pretest score was 33.92, which increased to 57.92 in the posttest. The Wilcoxon test result showed a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, indicating a significant effect of the RADEC learning model on students' explanatory writing skills.
