The aim of conducting this study is to analyze the moral values of main character in the Burnett’s The Lost Prince.The hero’s true identity will be revealed by fate. Marco’s charismatic father, a patriot of the mythical and war-torn nation of Samavia, sends him and his street Urchin companion, The Rat, who is no older than thirteen, on a covert mission throughout Europe. Burnett places a strong emphasis on education, showing that good or bad education determines virtue or vice. As a global citizen, Marco has received an education in the style of Rousseau. His father, a good adult mentor, led and directed his observations. He has received strict training in virtue, intellectual discussion, self-command, and emotional and mind control.This study used Kohlberg and Frankena’s theory. The study applied to library research because the corpus was a novel. Besides that, this study was a concept analysis. The researcher explained and related the object to concepts, theories, or other relevant sources. The study attempted to provide a solution to the following question: is moral education solely the responsibility of an institution or is it a collective obligation? The respon is that not only teachers in schools can instill moral values in children, but parents can also play an important part in educating children about necessity of living an ethical life.
