Islamic Religious Education plays a strategic role in shaping the character, morals, and spirituality of students. However, the challenges in today's education world, particularly in the digital era and Society 5.0, demand innovation in learning strategies. Traditional approaches, which tend to be one-way and teacher-centered, are no longer fully relevant to the needs of today's students, who are more active, critical, and open to technology. Therefore, innovative learning strategies are needed that can increase student active engagement in the learning process. This paper discusses two innovative strategic approaches to Islamic Religious Education (PAI): collaborative problem-based learning and technology-based learning. The collaborative problem-based learning approach encourages students to work together to solve real-life problems relevant to their lives. This strategy not only trains critical and creative thinking skills but also instills Islamic values ​​through direct experience in resolving conflicts or social problems in an Islamic manner. Furthermore, technology-based learning allows for the integration of digital media, interactive applications, and online learning platforms, making the learning process more engaging, flexible, and accessible. The integration of the two creates a dynamic and contextual learning environment, strengthening the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in shaping students who are religious, digitally literate, and able to live in diversity. Through a literature review and analysis of field implementation, this paper demonstrates that innovative learning strategies based on collaborative problems and technology have been proven to increase learning motivation, understanding of Islamic Religious Education material, and deeper internalization of religious values. The wise use of technology also expands the scope and reach of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning, making religious education more relevant to the lives of today's students. Therefore, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers are expected to be able to creatively adopt and adapt these strategies according to the needs and characteristics of students in the modern era.
