Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan Google Sites dalam pembelajaran IPA terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan literasi digital peserta didik SMP. Penelitian menggunakan desain quasi experimental dengan nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Al-Uswah Semarang tahun ajaran 2024/2025, dengan pembagian 21 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 22 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi tes uraian untuk berpikir kritis serta angket literasi digital berdasarkan indikator Kemendikbud. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, uji homogenitas, uji-t, uji Mann-Whitney, Wilcoxon, serta gain score. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBL berbantuan Google Sites secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis (N-Gain = 0,60) dan literasi digital siswa (rerata > 3,25; kategori baik). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi media digital dalam model pembelajaran berbasis masalah efektif dalam mendukung keterampilan abad ke-21.This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Google Sites in learning science on improving critical thinking skills and digital literacy skills of junior high school students. The research used a quasi experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The research subjects were VIII grade students of Al-Uswah Semarang Junior High School in the 2024/2025 school year, with 21 students as the experimental class and 22 students as the control class. The instruments used included a description test for critical thinking and a digital literacy questionnaire based on Kemendikbud indicators. Data were analyzed using Shapiro-Wilk normality test, homogeneity test, t-test, Mann-Whitney test, Wilcoxon, and gain score. The results showed that the application of the PBL model assisted by Google Sites significantly improved students' critical thinking skills (N-Gain = 0.60) and digital literacy (mean > 3.25; good category). This study shows that the integration of digital media in a problem-based learning model is effective in supporting 21st century skills.
