Studi yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengembangkan serta menguji validitas, kepraktisan, serta efektivitas LKPD berbasis argumentation skill dalam peningkatan kemampuan argumentasi peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Pertama untuk kegiatan belajar IPA dalam materi suhu, kalor, dan pemuaian. Metode yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan ADDIE mencakup Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. Hasil validasi tiga validator memperlihatkan LKPD merupakan kategori sangat valid dengan rata-rata skor 87%. Kepraktisan LKPD berdasarkan analisis keterlaksanaan pembelajaran memperoleh rata-rata skor 88,25%, tergolong sangat praktis. Efektivitas LKPD diuji melalui tes pre-test serta post-test, menghasilkan skor N-gain sebesar 0,77 berada di kategori tinggi. Selain itu, angket respons siswa menunjukkan rerata 90% yang memiliki kategori sangat baik. Menurut data tersebut, LKPD berbasis argumentation skill termasuk valid, praktis, serta efektif untuk digunakan untuk peningkatan keterampilan argumentasi peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPA di jenjang SMP.The study aims to develop and test the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of argumentation skill-based LKPD in improving the argumentation skills of Junior High School students for science learning activities in the material of temperature, heat, and expansion. The method used is the ADDIE development model including Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. The validation results of three validators show that LKPD is in a very valid category with an average score of 87%. The practicality of LKPD based on the analysis of learning implementation obtained an average score of 88.25%, which is classified as very practical. The effectiveness of LKPD was tested through pre-test and post-test tests, resulting in an N-gain score of 0.77 in the high category. In addition, the student response questionnaire showed an average of 90% which has a very good category. According to these data, LKPD based on argumentation skill is valid, practical, and effective for use to improve students' argumentation skills in science learning at the junior high school level.
