Community Service (KKN) is a final project for students in carrying out one of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely Community Service. Students in the community service program are certainly directed to develop a potential superior program in the village where they carry out relevant community-based activities based on the ideals of national food security. One of the activities that supports the ideals of food security is the planting of vegetables based on yard land and hydroponics. The purpose of planting hydroponic vegetables is to cultivate plants by maximizing harvests in limited land, saving water, and producing healthy, nutritious, quality plants. The implementation of the PKM activity is carried out using an applicative method to be applied to the entire community. The activity process involves all elements of stakeholders such as village officials, youth from the youth organization, PKK mothers, teachers, and all students at SDN Jarakan 2. This activity can at least make an impactful contribution to all elements of society in Jarakan Village in supporting food sovereignty, rural development, increasing skills and productivity, and ensuring the availability of healthy, nutritious food.
