The increase in community health center services is one of the factors that triggers the rate of hazardous and toxic waste generation. The resulting medical waste has the potential to pollute the environment and become a source of disease transmission if not managed in accordance with applicable regulations. This study aims to evaluate the practice of hazardous and toxic waste management in community health centers from various regions in Indonesia. The method used in this study is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The data used in this study are published scientific articles sourced from Google Scholar through Publish or Perish and Mendeley. Based on the results of the literature review, it was found that the management of hazardous and toxic waste in community health centers in several regions is still not running optimally. This is reflected in the continued discovery of waste mixing, limited facilities, and low compliance with waste management procedures. This is exacerbated by the lack of knowledge and training of waste processing officers who pose a risk to health and environmental pollution. Thus, improvements are needed in all aspects of input, process, and output in the management of hazardous and toxic waste in community health centers.
