Abstract

This study aimed to develop and determine the feasibility of animated folklore videos as audio-visual learning media to improve the listening skills of third-grade students in an inclusive elementary school. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D model, consisting of the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. The subjects were third-grade students of SDN 106809 Kolam, including regular students and students with special needs. Data were collected through observations, interviews, expert validation questionnaires, and documentation. The results indicated that the developed animated folklore videos were valid and feasible for classroom use. The media increased students’ attention, learning focus, and understanding of story content while providing an engaging and interactive learning experience. In addition, the videos accommodated diverse learning needs and supported the development of listening skills among inclusive elementary school students. Therefore, animated folklore videos can serve as an innovative and effective learning medium for improving listening skills in inclusive classrooms.
